PLEIN AIR PAINTING WORKSHOPS
JEAN MARIE FINE ART

PLEIN AIR PAINTING WORKSHOPS

During these 3 session workshops, emphasis will be placed on having fun in beautiful outdoor settings,
while through painting demonstrations, technical instruction and personalized coaching,
you will develop a critical eye to see and identify the strongest composition before you ever begin to paint.

Artists will be encouraged to edit out distracting noise, identify a strong focal point and
interpret it in his or her unique personal style.

Artists will learn to develop a strong foundation for their painting using line and
laying in masses formulating the painting’s structural composition.
You will explore the beauty of color harmony and learn to accurately recognize and represent values.
Solutions to the unique challenges of mixing color and getting the right value in changing outdoor light will be presented.
Artists will learn how to further enhance the focal point and complete their painting through the
effective use of edges, lights and darks, texture and color.

Jean Marie Christian welcomes you to join her and will cheerfully answer any questions you may have.
